Our summer went by so fast and now that three of the kids are in school all day, I am missing summer a little bit (only a little). We took one last trip to the river in Grandpa's new boat on Labor Day. This is Megan and her friend, Amelia. The fact that everything seemed to fly by so quickly this summer is one of many reasons prompting me to document life by blogging. I feel like maybe I'll have some tangible evidence that summer actually happened and my kids (and husband) were once home making noise, messes and lively moments every day.

Yeah! I'm so glad you jumped on board the blog train! It's a great way to share pictures and cute little anecdotes, cuz we all know how cute your kids are and what funny things they say that you'll forget if you don't write them down! So... thank you! I look forward to (at least) weekly briefings on the Kraus family. :)
Love,
Aunt Sherrie :)
Hey Mara,
I had a "small world" moment I thought you might get a kick out of. I was doing some RS visits last week, and went to visit a lady who just sent her son on a mission. She was telling us how one of her kindergarten students had moved away to Washington, because the dad was taking over the family business while the father was a mission president back east. It turned out this mission president was going to be her son's mission president, and she had taught kindergarten to 2 of his grandchildren. She thought the connection was kind of neat. I asked her where the mission president was from, and she went to the back room to get the profile they sent her. She came back with a picture of Dean and Patrice Moody from Kennewick, Washington! Her son was a great baseball player in high school, and gave up a college scholarhip to go on his mission. So if you ever see Chris or Missy Moody, tell them Mrs. Reiber from Cedar Ridge Elementary School says Hello!
